WHAT
Chi Chi No design is an experimental project, activated in Milan and Seoul, to transfer objects, ideas, and people through space. Unlike the myth of the molecular transponder -created by science fiction novels and pursued by just-in-time logistics- Chi Chi No's vision does not see transferring as simply moving, but as a translation gesture, namely, a transition and transformation of things and their meanings.

PROJECTS
SUPER경량
The first prototype by Chi Chi No design investigates the theme of daily time, as experienced in Italy and Korea: the first punctuated by the rhythm of pauses (synthesized by the chair), the latter tending to an uninterrupted movement (condensed in the bangseok – Korean floor cushion)
The intervention -part of the Supercolla project- concerns the most famous chair of the Italian design, Superleggera, designed by Gio Ponti in 1957, broken and unusable and, therefore, conceptually, in a transitional state between pause and movement, but also use and no use, and product design and art.
Chi Chi No's project, therefore, takes Superleggera into consideration only from the point of view of its mythical minimal weight (1,7 kg) and totally neglects its shape. The chair is thus broken into pieces in Milan and carried to Seoul into a suitcase, where it is pulverized through a special process that reduces its weight. The original weight is later replenished by adding plastic material to the wood dust. The hybrid material thus obtained becomes the filling of four small transparent cushions, which can be placed on four different Superleggera, piled as a pouffe (with the same volume of the base of the chair) or juxtaposed like a carpet.
